Shayla Burrows, O.D

Dr. Shayla Burrows was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. She is a graduate of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, where she received an Honours Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Burrows moved to Boston in 2017 to obtain her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry where she was a member of the Beta Kappa Sigma International Optometric Honor Society.

Dr. Burrows trained extensively at multiple community health centers within the greater Boston area and completed a clinical rotation at The Providence VA Medical Center. Throughout her optometric education, Dr. Burrows became proficient in comprehensive eye exams in the pediatric and geriatric populations, fitting specialty and standard contact lenses, and conducting vision therapy exams.

Despite growing up in Canada, Dr. Burrows is a big New England sports fan and enjoys watching the Bruins, Patriots, and Red Sox. When out of the office, Dr. Burrows also enjoys reading, trying new brunch spots, and spending time outdoors.
