One of the main causes today for red, irritated, itchy eyelids is Blepharitis. Blepharitis is an eyelid condition that causes itching, swelling and dandruff -like scales on their eyelashes. While Blepharitis is a very common condition, most people do not know about it! Luckily, it is not contagious and it will not affect your eyesight.

Some symptons of blepharitis include a gritty and burning feelings on your eyes, along with tearing, itching, inflammation, redness and crusting.  It can be caused by bacteria, infestation of eyelids or blocked oil glands.
